We would love to welcome you to our Monthly Rookie Academy!
Our Rookie Academy is designed to prepare our youngest chess players for tournament life. This event is open to all players U300 USCF. This includes unrated players and players who are just starting to engage in tournament play. Students will play multiple rounds of rated matches.
Students will join in lessons consisting of but not limited to: tournament etiquette, chess notation, chess clock usage, tournament rules, pairings, game analysis, sportsmanship.
Event Details: Open to all USCF rated players from grades: Kindergarten - 5th Grade
*Please note, lunch will not be provided — parents should pack NUT FREE Lunch and Snack for the duration of the event.

Cost: $49 per player
There will be no onsite registration. Registration will close at 6 PM the night before.

Awards:
Top 2 finishers from each quad will get medals (1st & 2nd Place)
Event Details:
* Opened to all individuals and teams in Brooklyn & The Tri State area.
* Parents can drop off at 10:00 am, and kids will have an immersive camp-like experience with their teams and coaches.
* Please Ensure to wear School Gear (Team Shirts)
* Awards will be presented at 2:00 PM inside the Auditorium
* Top 2 finishers from each quad will get medals
* USCF rated Event. If you are not yet a USCF member you can register at the link below: https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess.
* Pizza lunch nor snacks will not be served (Parents are welcome to pack NUT FREE home lunch & snack)
* Parents are encouraged to send lunch and snacks as desired. It must be nut-free.
Drop-off Event:
The event is a drop-off event. Parents are required to drop-off kids at the school entrance at 10 am and pick them up at the conclusion of the event.
