Saturday Grand Prix

Grand Prix (0-1000 USCF, AM/PM Session) and Advanced Grand Prix (1000+ USCF) allows students the opportunity to play three equally rated players in a competitive and supportive environment, practicing and building on skills learned in afterschool training sessions.

Frequency: Weekly (9am - 12pm and/or 12pm - 3pm)
Date: Saturdays, beginning 10/05

Saturday Rookie Academy

Rookie Academy is designed to prepare our newer/beginner chess players for tournament life, with lessons on tournament etiquette, using chess clocks, and notation, among other topics. This event is open to all novice players unrated or under 300 USCF.

Frequency: Monthly (Session is 4 hours)
Date: First Saturday of the month, beginning 10/05
Price: $49

Saturday All-Girls Tournament

Our All-Girls event include both educational and competitive aspects. The groups will be divided by skill level and then lessons will be given with an emphasis on highlighting a star woman's player! After lessons are complete, participants will play a quad-style tournament, playing the three players closest to their skill level. 

Frequency: Monthly (Session is 4 hours)
Date: Third Saturday of the month, beginning 10/19

Sunday Team Tournaments

Our largest tournament held once a month, the (drop-off) team tournament allows players from any school to compete individually and on behalf of their team. Players are grouped into sections based on skill level. The tournament draws players from across all of NYC!

Frequency: Monthly (9am - 3pm)
Price: $59-$69, includes pizza lunch
