ICN's Star Student

As we conclude Fall semester for our programs this week, we'd like to take the time to recognize this student's resilience, team spirit, and commitment.

Congratulations to Liam Chan, Nest+M for being ICN's January Star Student!

6th place at October's Monthly Team Tournament

We started our first semester at Nest+M and Liam has been a team player from the get-go. Taking full advantage of the afterschool program, there was also not a tournament or camp event he missed! He led the Chess Club & Team weekly for 2+ months with his ChessKid self-study, and put in many hours during the weekend to attend our Saturday Grand Prix and Sunday Monthly Team tournaments, and weekday camp sessions when schools closed for breaks.

Liam took home $25 for winning 3-0 at the first Grand Prix tournament

Liam proudly represented Nest+M at the recent Grades Nationals in December even though he was the only player to attend from his school. Looking forward to bringing a larger team for the upcoming Saratoga States Championships and can't wait to see how far Liam grows this year!
