About Saturday ICN Elite Quads (1000+)

Our In-Person Saturday Elite Quads provide the (weekly) opportunity to play three equally rated players in both a competitive and supportive environment.

Players will be paired in groups of fours, starting with our 4 highest rated players based on their LIVE rating and continuing down to our lowest rated players. We will be use only live OTB ratings

Please note that we will use LIVE OTB ratings for pairing purposes.

Tournament Rules

Elite Quads 1000+

AM Elite Quads

  • 8:45 am - check in

  • 9:00 am - 1st round

  • 2nd & 3rd rounds will start 5 minutes after the completion of the previous rounds.

    Players may leave directly after the completion of their 3rd round.

    Notes: Each Quad will play 3 Rounds G60, D5

PM Elite Quads

  • 12:45 pm - check in

  • 1:00 pm - 1st round

  • 2nd & 3rd rounds will start 5 minutes after the completion of the previous rounds.

    Players may leave directly after the completion of their 3rd round.

    Notes: Each Quad will play 3 Rounds G60, D5

Awards:

  • $10 for quad winners,

  • $25 for Knockouts,

  • Plaques for winners of Special Awards (determined at end of season)

  • Trophies for top 3 schools.

Team Rooms: Analysis Areas, Team Room for select schools

Drop-off Event

The event is a drop-off event. Parents are required to drop-off kids at the school entrance at 9 am and pick them up at the conclusion of the event.

Things to Note:

  • TD has discretion to move players to avoid sibling pairing

  • No more than 2 players from the same school in the same Group.

  • No byes permitted

  • Lunch will not be served

  • All players must have a valid USCF ID #

  • Please bring your own clocks

  • Pairings will be based on live ratings

  • If a player is late for the start of a round (indicated by the TD) their clock will be started

  • 2nd and 3rd rounds will begin at the completion of your section’s previous round

  • TDs reserve the right to modify quads to avoid sibling pairing or to accommodate special requests (TD discretion)

  • 100 point rating variance to accommodate sibling players
