2018 Grade Nationals Report
The 2018 USCF Grade Nationals was a tremendous success for ICN program across the board!
ICN programs fielded their largest contingent ever with 76 players representing programs from PS 11, PS 33, PS 59, PS 77, PS 116, PS 139 and Basis Manhattan.
Not only did our players participate, each program competed tooth and nail the entire weekend against the country's very best, fighting for top National recognition! In the end, 16 teams represented their respective grade teams with TEN securing TOP 10 Nationals honors!
* This represents 20 percent of all Top 10 placements in the United States (1st - 5th grades)
There was also an additional ten players who received individual recognition.
Most importantly hard work was rewarded, and our students across the board demonstrated team work, sportsmanship, grit, and a commitment to excellence.
A new ICN Nationals tradition was also born, as we hosted our 1st ever Saturday evening parents social! This was one of the many highlights and we can’t want to do it again next year :)
New friends were made, old friends reunited and a lifetime of memories made.
We look forward with a renewed energy, excitement and commitment to return bigger, better and stronger in 2019!
