ICN's Star Student

Max Gerard has emerged as a true leader at PS 230.

After initially going 0-3 at the first ever Grand Prix last Spring, Max came back with a competitive fire instilled in him that led to him winning the entire Brooklyn Grand Prix by the time Spring had concluded.

Max has worked hard on his chess, showing very clear improvement and is consistently looking for ways to help motivate the team at PS 230.

We also recently inducted Max into our USCF 1000+ Hall of Fame Board.
