Live from Times Square - ICN Chess League Standings
Dear Chess Families & Friends,
Our Team Tournament calendar kicked off this last weekend, with 430 players hitting the field in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. Please see our report here, with results and pictures.
We want our kids to have a clear way to set goals and then achieve them, both as individuals and with their teams, and we utilize the United States Chess Federation rating system, in combination with our competitive events, to build a team view: The ICN League.
Our ICN League is the new platform by which we track our teams and their goals, their growth, and their pathways to the podium, so bookmark it here and please enjoy our update video here.
Our Elementary division is headed by a rivalry forming between the previous 3rd Nationals winning PS 198 Bulldogs and the current reigning K-5 Open National Champion PS 130K Lions.
Our Primary division is currently topped by the PS 166 Manhattan Knights, who hold a comfortable lead over the next few teams, the PS 77 Lions, the NEST+m Eagles, and again PS 198.
Our K-1 division is in many respects the most volatile, since any team in the division could see new young stars emerge and push their team into the spotlight, but for now the NEST+m Eagles headed by their formidable one-two punch will hold that crown.
