Citywide Fall Chess Festivals - Monday October-12th
Congrats to Max from PS 198 for breaking the 2000 USCF barrier and becoming our first official US Chess Expert of the new season -- leading his Bulldog team to first place in the ICN League!
All our Chess Club and Team programs across New York City are now in full swing -- over 3200 kids are now setting and pursuing their short (ChessKid PLW 100), medium (Grand Prix & training camp), and long term goals (major tournaments), and our ICN League has officially launched, featuring K-1, Primary, and Elementary divisions.
Our players and teams now have their first opportunity to come together at the Fall Chess Festival this coming Monday, October 12th, followed by our first Team Tournament on Saturday, October 31st -- their first chances to really put their newfound knowledge and practice to the test in USCF rated match play, with both individual and team awards on the line.
The Fall Festival welcomes players of all levels (from beginner to advanced) to boost their skill level while in a festive social environment. There will be three rated games, but also game analysis, bug & blitz fun, art, and much more. Register here:
