PS 116 March 4th Chess Tournament
With 155 players competing, the PS 116 March 4th Chess Tournament was the largest of the season. Individuals and teams battled across 5 sections, which witnessed fierce competition from start to finish. Many of these players used this as their final prep opportunity before they head to Saratoga next weekend for the annual State Championships!
It was a special day of chess, with kids focused on playing their best, parents supporting them along the way, and coaches giving them that extra push to play their very best.
There was also plenty of exciting results for both individual and teams with new individual highs being set and teams winning their first hardware of the season!
Once again PS 116 played a great host to what is one of NYC's longest running scholastic events.
The final PS 116 tournament of the season will be held on June 3rd. We hope to seeing everyone there!
