We would love to welcome you to our Chess Festival !

This event will include training with an opportunity to play rated players in both a competitive and supportive environment. In addition to competitive play the day will be filled with fun activities.

Individuals will be able to earn points throughout the day through results of their tournament. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Drop-off will be at 8:45 A.M. and pick-up will be from 4:30 to 5:00 P.M

• 9:00 - 9:45 Gather & Social Play

• 9:45 - 10:00 Morning Welcome Meeting & Team Pairings

• 10:00 - 11:40 2 Rounds of rated play (G/25 d5)

  • 10:00 - 10:50 AM - Round 1

  • 10:50 - 11:40 AM - Round 2

• 11:40 - 1:30 Lunch (Pizza will be provided) + Park Play & Social Chess Play

• 1:30 - 4:00 Blitz Championship (Swiss) - Individual & Team Awards

• 4:00 - 4:15 Snack Time

• 4:15 - 4:45 Festival Ceremony/Awards (individual medals for winners) + Festival Chessball

• 4:30 - 5:00 Pickup

Chess Festival Structure:

2 round tournament:

• Each chess win earns you school 1 points

• Each draw earns you 1/2 points
