Dear Friends,
Wishing everyone well!
We are happy to announce that starting this week, we will be offering club meetings during normal times through zoom. This means that whatever day you usually attend chess, you will now have the opportunity to continue that, only virtually for now. Zoom club will begin promptly at 3:00 PM and will run until 3:45 PM to ensure enough time for serious play at 4:00 PM.
Communication will be sent out directly to each program with zoom links and schedule.
Keep up the great job,
Coach Russ

Suggested Solutions for Common Technical Issues
Essential need-to-know information:
Do NOT make a move on the board when it is not their turn. They will end up "committing" to that move even if they don't want to and it will give the appearance of a bug, which it is not. Just like real chess: Hands off the board when it is not your turn :-)
Tournaments are accessible through web browser only, not app. Use the recommended browsers Firefox & Chrome (and definitely not Edge or Internet Explorer). Registration (and the Join button) will only open 15 minutes before the start of the tournament.
Use the Chesskid username we provided you for Chess Club and Team. Our tournaments are not available to any personally created accounts.
After logging in on a web browser, here's quick link to see tournaments https://www.chesskid.com/play/fastchess
Remember to refresh the page to get updated time stamps for upcoming tournaments and turn on that "Join" button
If your opponent offers a draw or forfeit and you do not agree, please don't press the checkmark to accept the draw or forfeit. Do not exit out of game at any point to avoid a lost or withdrawing from tournament
We cannot manually add anyone into a round or tournament after it has started, or alter any results.
Please feel free to get friendly with the browser refresh button -
Refresh page to get updated time stamps for upcoming tournaments and turn on that "Join" button,
Refresh page in between rounds if next round doesn't automatically start,
Refresh page if opponent seems to have moved away from game or if the game experiences a lag
Please email any additional questions or issues to icnchesskid@gmail.com with the Chesskid username in the subject line, and any relevant screenshots we may be able to use.
We understand you may have technical issues and we continue to thank you for your patience as we work to get all your questions answered and your child ready for the next online tournament.
