WGM Iris Mou Headlines Elite Summer Camp Simul

We were thrilled to welcome WGM Iris Mou to our Elite Summer Training Camp. Early in her chess career, Iris regularly competed in our Quads Tournaments as she worked toward becoming a master. It is wonderful to see her now excelling on the global stage and inspiring the next generation of aspiring NYC chess masters!

Iris joined us as a special guest at our Elite Camp in Times Square, NYC. She gave a lecture, hosted a short Q&A, signed autographs, and finished by playing a simultaneous exhibition against the campers.

About Iris Mou:

Iris Mou is an American chess prodigy from New York City who holds the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM). Born in 2009, she reached elite chess status in April 2026 by winning the XVII Women’s Continental Championship of the Americas in Lima, Peru. This major tournament victory earned her the direct WGM title and qualified her for a spot in the 2027 FIDE Women’s World Cup.

Currently, Iris is ranked 26th in the world on FIDE’s Girls Under-21 list.
