2023 NYS Scholastics Championship Report
The New York State Scholastic Chess Championship was held last weekend in Saratoga Springs, and we fielded over 350 players across ten sections, and put 40 individual students and 49 teams in the top twenty of their sections against the top players in New York State.
We'd like to highlight our first place teams in the K-3 U800 and K-5 U1400 sections from PS 33, and our first place individual champions, Hiroki Winter from PS 527, who took first place in K-1 U400 with a perfect 6/6, and Davin Chen from PS 184, who took first place in K-8 U1600 undefeated with 5.5 points.
