All Girls National Champions!

Join us in congratulating our Lower Lab Lions on winning the 2022 U8 All Girls National Chess Championship this past weekend in Chicago!

The girls fought hard over three days, and 6 long rounds of championship competition.

In the end, their hard work during the event and the months/years leading up was rewarded with a National Championship!

A special congratulations to our amazing parents, administrators, coaches & most of all players for all of their incredible efforts. It truly is a team effort!

A special thank you to Coach Logan for always leading from the front and continuing to foster the long established Lower Lab tradition of excellent.

In addition to our Lower Lab team success, we had 3 of the top 10 finishers in the U8 section in the country including Adorabella Zhu 3rd Place (PS 130M), Scarlett Kong 5th Place (PS 77), and Wanru Ye 10th place (Basis Brooklyn).

A special congratulations for Jenny on having two of her programs’ students place in the Top 10 in the United States!
