Dear Chess Friends,
As we enter the final week of action in our October Online Chess League we begin to look towards the start of our November League (Monday November 2nd - Monday November 30th) .
The goal of our Online Scholastic Chess Leagues is to provide players and teams from across NYC and beyond the opportunity to engage in meaningful competition that will contribute towards both individual and team success. We are using real names, real ratings, real standings, and real teams.
We have found that active participation in our Online Scholastic Chess Leagues has been invaluable in keeping our teams engaged as they can work towards shared goals and building team identity.
We have created updated pricing structures to encourage greater team participation along with more flexible pricing structures for our individual players.
Everyone is welcome to join regardless of what school you attend or your level of play. We encourage those of you who are interested in joining to connect with fellow classmates and form a team.
Our October season has welcomed nearly 300 players and is shaping up for which will be highly contested and exciting finish in both Individual & Team standings.

GM Sam Shankland Headlines Online Scholastic Chess Leagues!
We are thrilled to announce that GM Sam Shankland will headline our Fall Online Scholastic Chess League. A long time friend of our ICN programs, GM Shankland is one of the Top American players of ALL TIME! Shankland won clear 1st at the US Championships in 2018 and quickly climbed to a TOP 25 player in the WORLD. With a peak rating of 2731 FIDE, Shankland is the third highest American born player in history only behind the Great Bobby Fischer and Fabiano Caruana.

Our goal is to provide a highly competitive yet supportive and fun environment where our students can continue to have access to high quality, engaged daily competition and be part of a larger social community. We look forward to offering the premier online playing experience for high performing scholastic players and becoming the gold standard for online scholastic competition and excellence. Our league includes daily stats and standings (team and individual), live rating updates (internal rating system) and access to a live weekly training session where top games are reviewed across our OSCL (Wednesdays 6:30 PM EST).
