The 2018 Mayor's Cup challenged the best players / teams from across NYC for the coveted title of "BEST IN THE CITY".

This prestigious event has been a pillar of our Impact Coaching Network tournament schedule as each participating member must reach 900 + USCF in order to qualify.

Impact Coaching Network programs were represented by teams from PS 33, PS 11, PS 230, PS 77, PS 116 and PS 59 and fielded a combined contingent of 52 participating members (This represented over 40 percent of all Elementary Championship competitors!)

In the end it was another rewarding day as ICN programs claimed 5 of the top 10 team placements and an additional 5 of the top 10 individual awards.

A special congratulations to Lower Lab on becoming the 2018 Mayor’s Cup Team Champions! “Best in the City”

A special congratulations to Lower Lab 4th grader Ben Kwon on becoming the 2018 Mayor’s Cup Elementary Champion! This is a title he shared with fellow Lower Lab star Royal Buchanan.
