Lower Lab March Chess Tournament (Results & Photos)
With over 175 rated players participating, our seasons 2nd Lower Lab Chess Tournament was both highly competitive and plenty of fun! This was also the final prep opportunity for many of us, as next weekend we head to Saratoga for the annual New York State Chess Championships!
Players and teams from across New York City competed both individually and as teams across five sections of competitive play.
Many players participated for their very first time, while others battled tough the entire day against Nationally ranked competition.
In the end, the spirit of the tournament was highly competitive but everyone also enjoyed a warm and welcoming community vibe where players and teams came together to share in a great day of chess.
Our next event will be held on March 31st at PS 116! We look forward to another great tournament !
