Mid-Summer Chess Camp Report

Dear Chess Families & Friends,

With an average of over 250 campers in action across our Upper East Side, Midtown, Brooklyn and Elite Clubhouse sites in the first four weeks, and with more than 90 kids rated over 1200 USCF, our Summer Chess Camp 2025 is going down as our strongest, largest, and most competitive ever. With five weeks remaining, we encourage you to join for a day, a week, or the remainder of the summer.

The first half of summer saw a visit from newly minted US Junior Champion Andy Woodward, as well as Anna & Pia Cramling, and we're excited to say we'll have more special guests in the second half, including current US Women's Champion Carissa Yip.

All campsites have been mobile this summer, sending teams to challenge their peers around the city, and players at all sites have seen significant rating gains, while enjoying the art stations, the playgrounds and the popsicles. Don't miss our video documenting a Day in the Life of Summer Chess Camper!

Our Summer Saturdays Grand Prix Series has been a big hit, meeting a need for more rated play over the summer, averaging fifty players every Saturday.

Join us on Saturday throughout the summer for up to six more rated games per week!

Our final week of summer will take place at Luke's in midtown Manhattan and Greenwood Baptist in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Both of these sites will have limited seating, so don't wait to book.

Finally, we are gearing up for the launch of our fall semester. There have been some exciting changes and additions to our team roster!

Registration is now open for all Brooklyn and Manhattan programs. This is going to be a great year, I can feel it!

See everyone soon.

Thanks,

Ian
