ICN's Star Student

We started our PS 10 Gladiator program in September of 2018, and Mahima has been a mainstay star from the beginning.

She helped shape the early identity of the team with her maturity and drive to win, and has helped push the team to the next level. She worked hard with us through virtual chess, all the way to her graduation last month.

She has also been a leading light for our girls team, which has finished in the top 5 in every major event they've played. More girls are playing chess at PS 10 now because of Mahima, a trend we hope to continue as she graduates.

Mahima also featured in the ABC News segment on our Gift of Chess initiative, and we were very proud to foreground her insight.
