PS 33 Tournament Raises 540 Sets for The Gift of Chess!
With 187 players competing, our PS 33 November Team Tournament was a huge success! Players and teams from across NYC enjoyed a day of tough competition - that also include plenty of fun - team centric - social interactions. A special congratulations to our friends from Speyer Legacy for winning both the U 500 & U 1000 sections. PS 10 won clear first in the Open section. This was PS 10’s first time winning an Open Section!
You can find our full standings below.
Not only did we enjoy plenty of chess fun - we also helped raise 540 chess sets for The Gift of Chess. The Gift of Chess aims to raise 10,000 chess sets for 10,000 NYC public school students and transform virtual learning into community building - one set at a time!
Our next team tournament will be hosted by PS 130 Brooklyn and held on Sunday, March 21st. We hope to see many of you there.
