With the successful launch of our weekly G & T In-Person Quads, we are now thrilled to offer our G & T In-Person Summer Training Camps!
Our G & T In-Person Training Camps will run 8 weeks (July & August) and be offered in addition to our G & T Virtual Training Camps.
Over the years G & T Chess has helped develop many of NYC's top scholastic players. Through their weekly Quads and select intensive camps, G & T Chess has built a vibrant community of like minded and like-skilled high performing NYC competitors.
Through the support of this community, access to world class coaches and the introduction of fun and innovative leaning techniques G & T Chess continues to deliver the very best in competitive scholastic chess education & training.
Our G & T Summer Training Camps provide a perfect combination of USCF daily rated match play, group analysis, individual coaching opportunities, daily themed lectures, social play and plenty of summer camp fun.
This year, G & T Summer Camps enrollment will be limited per week along with additional safety precautions, allowing for us to enjoy a safe, in-person camp experience.

G & T Summer Training Camps:
Our G & T Summer Camps will be held The Estonian House which is a beautiful private building with access to ample park space directly across the street.
Approximate Daily Skill Groups:
1000 - 1499 USCF
1500 + USCF
Approximate Schedule:
8:45 AM - 5:00 PM
8:45 - 9:45 - Gather & Social Play
9:45 - 11:30 - Team Groupings, Lessons & USCF Rated Games (G45, D5)
11:30 - 1:00 - Lunch, Park Play, Social Chess Play, Individual Coaching Opportunities.
1:00 - 3:30 - Lessons & Group Post-Mortem Game Review.
3:30 - 4:30 - Snack, Social Chess Play, Daily Contests
4:30 - 5:00 - Pick-up
Playing it Safe:
We will cap player registration each week (first come first served).
Players will be required to wear masks at all times while at camp.
Players are required to have a mask on at ALL time while at their board. During lunch and water breaks, campers will be assigned to designated areas.
We will have hand sanitizing stations throughout the camp.
We will take temperatures before entering camp each morning.
Players will complete a self certification before entering camp each morning.
Parents will be required to check in and drop-off at the main entrance. Only campers and staff will have access to the camp facilities.
