Dear G & T Chess Families,
Last week we experienced technical issues when running our G & T Quads. Under further review this was caused by our work around to create our G & T Quads. The online playing platform is geared towards running Swiss style events.
With that being said, we will re-brand our G & T Quads to G & T Octagons for the time being. We will pair our players into groups of 8, starting with our highest rated players. If a grouping of 8 players is not possible we will merge bottom sections.
Everything else will remain the same.
We are now providing pre registration lists. We will be using these lists to pair our Octagons and to provide online access to playing accounts already paired for Octagons.
Registration closes at 9:00 am! For those of you who register, we will be sending email instruction to login by 9:30 am. Players need to be online in Octagons by 9:45 am, play will start at 10 am sharp.

I truly appreciate all of your understand and support during this time. Last week, we had players playing over speakerphone just to keep the show going! That's called fighting spirit, that is something we should all be very proud of!

The G & T Octagons have become a staple for NYC's strongest scholastic players. G & T Octagons provides the (weekly) opportunity to play three equally rated players in both a competitive and supportive environment.
Players will be paired in quads, starting with our 8 highest registered players based on their LIVE rating and continuing down to 1000 USCF.
Once the Octagons round games are complete, the next round will begin. You may leave on the completion of your Octagon.
