Traveling? Volunteer to Spread The Gift of Chess...
Dear friends,
Are you traveling this Spring or Summer? Do you want to help bring the Gift of Chess to your destination, partnering with a local school, chess club, or other community organization? Regardless of where you are traveling (domestic/international), you can volunteer and become an ambassador, helping spread the Gift of Chess!
If you would like to be an ambassador, there is a simple four-step process:
Fill out this form indicating your destination
Research and identify an organization that would benefit from the Gift of Chess
Pick up your 10 sets before your departure date from our office in Midtown Manhattan.
Deliver the sets to the organization. Send us a brief description of the recipients and a few photos/videos that we can share on our social media!

A recognized 501(c)(3) charity, The Gift of Chess launched last year, distributing 10,000 chess sets to public school students around NYC. Last month, we expanded our efforts to Nigeria, where Tyrone Davis III, a founding board member of The Gift of Chess and president of the MIT chess club, distributed 500 sets to children around Lagos in partnership with Chess in Slums Africa. In addition to our youth education program and global outreach, we will be launching initiatives focused on prison outreach and elderly outreach in the coming months.
In addition to our Ambassador initiative, we are looking for general volunteers to help organize, package, and distribute 5,000 sets we have just received over the coming months. If you are a student looking for a community service opportunity, a company looking for a high-impact non-profit for a corporate volunteer program, or a chess fan looking to help spread the game you love, consider volunteering with The Gift of Chess!
